György Felföldy
music and rhythm teacher
György Felföldy is the music teacher of Baltazar Theatre. He gives lessons in singing and rhythm not only to the company, but also to the students of the Arts Centre. His aim is not only to maintain, but to further develop his pupils’ sense for music and their ability to sing. “There are no great fireworks in my lessons. I strive to get everyone to do their very best,” he says. If necessary, he takes on the odd role in their productions – he appeared temporarily in Gruffalo and Boys, Girls. He likes the Baltazar Company chiefly for their genuineness. In his view, actors are able to be their true selves on stage here, instead of assuming affected styles; and this is where the theatre’s strength and success lies.
