Karina Kecskés
actor, has been working with Baltazar since 2008
Karina was an enthusiastic follower of Baltazar’s work from the very beginning. She started giving elocution lessons to the company in 2003. “I also brought my daughter with me, who was 4 months old at the time. The members of the company played with her and pampered her lovingly. That was a very happy period in my life, I was glad to be with them.” Karina’s favourite play in Baltazar was Stone’s Choice. “I really liked that scene I had with Dániel Fehér. It was a true and deep meeting of lovers, with real commitment. And at the end of the scene, I imagine meeting one of my ancestors, played by Péter Sziámi Müller. He lifted me up, spun me around, and together we entered eternity beyond space and time.”
When she is not at Baltazar, Karina is busy organising the daily lives of her three children. She strives to give them as much love and as many new experiences as she can, but she is learning a lot from them too. She also performs in Edith and Marlene, a play directed by Márta Mészáros, as well as taking a school programme with pantomime artist Veronika Karsai, and has the mission of leading a master therapy camp every year in the land of the Csango people (who mainly live in the Romanian part of Moldovia), with the participation of local children living in extreme poverty. She also tells stories to children and adults from her CD Mesékbe zárt titkok (Secrets encased in stories).
