“Every person lives with a disability, but they don’t see it.
Every person wants to be perfect, but they don’t admit it.” (G.G.)
Perfection, or flawlessness, is not a human standard. Yet it often happens that our inner compass breaks down and we desire perfection instead of wholeness.
Our quality of life lies not only in our strengths, but also in the acceptance of our weaknesses, our disabilities, and the opportunities that arise from them.
Instead of yearning for perfection, it is worth changing our perspective to see the paradox:
What is a disadvantage is an advantage!
In the 87th performance of Kérész Művek, we are looking for how we can see strength in weakness, motivation in disability, and the possibility of wholeness in mistakes.
This time, the artists of the Artus company, together with the disabled actors of the Baltazár Theatre, will explore how creativity, imagination and human sensitivity are present in every person and how all this can create (artistic) value in an equal partnership.
