Fading Rouge

First performance: December 9, 2004, Millenaris Cultural Centre, Budapest

Baltazár cabaret is about the passing of time. It’s about how our innate wisdom is not taken away, rather, it is just that the older we get, the more we forget it. We need to rediscover the true, pure human being inside ourselves.

“I have never seen so many people on stage who were living in harmony. I have never seen so many people together who were at peace with themselves. They were like angels. A choir of angels, wearing lipstick and all dressed up. To show us that we could be angels too, and how little we need the lipstick.” Alföldi Róbert, Criticai Lapok, 2005.
