Róna a.k.a. Petőfi’s dance of loneliness
A valiant, bittersweet and mirageous dance and poetry theater performance in one act.
An irregular literature class from the age of 13.
There were actors long ago, who wandered, carrying their difficult fate, in a state of vulnerability. Appreciation of art and the artist were far from what we know today.
Even today, there are actors, including those with disabilities, who similarly carry something. It’s hard to be an actor, it’s hard to be a person, it’s hard to be alone. But if we look around, we see that we have companions, we are not alone in the great wasteland, even if it is burnt out. The inner desolation is often comforting, but often worrisome. What does it mean to whom? We worked on this topic with our actors, developing their individuality and using their expression in movement.
We make an attempt to decipher the parallels between being an artist today and the “Petőfiness” of old. Through the life situation, joys and difficulties of our current actors, we bring closer the essence of acting, them and Petőfi, evoking the atmosphere of that time.
